Deep Purple T-Rex Sunbury Ticket 1968

Rare early Deep Purple concert ticket, this being a large double-sided card ticket for the Saturday evening session at the 8th National Jazz & Blues Festival, at Kempton racecourse, Sunbury, 10th Aug 1968.

As an indication of how early this was in Deep Purple's career, they were only 9th on the bill, the likes of The Nice, Jeff Beck, Ten Years After & Arthur Brown headlining. Deep Purple had played only a handful of small gigs before the Festival so this event provided the band with their largest showcase to date (the were paid £19 for the gig). Also of note & slightly higher up the bill were Tyrannosaurus Rex.
