Phun City Ticket Free MC5 1970

A really rare memento from one of the most famous UK rock festivals, the "Phun City" festival at Ecclesden Common, West Sussex, 24th-26th July 1970, this being a half portion ticket for the event (ticket torn in half on entry). "Organised" by Social Deviants Mick Farren, the festival degenerated into chaos & quickly became a "free" festival, security proving inadequate. The line-up featured the likes of Free, MC5, Mungo Jerry, The Pretty Things, Edgar Broughton, The Pink Fairies etc. In the climate of the times, it is amazing that a single ticket survived!
