OMD Stokvishal Arnhem Gig Poster 1980

OMD concert poster (19 3/4"x 28") for the Stokvishal, Arnhem, Holland, for 20th April 1980.

The Stokvishal venue could accomodate 1,200-1,700 fans & was an important Dutch gig venue (1971-84). Until late 1980 the Stokvishal shared the same booking agent as the Paradiso Club in Amsterdam so visiting UK bands would frequently play both venues. Although Stokvishal was known for its excellent acoustics, it was also pretty basic with no toilets/showers for the visiting artists.

This & the other Stokvishal posters we are offering came from the original poster artist who designed & printed the silk-screened posters for the venue. Being silk-screened & for a small venue, the print run for these posters were modest (far rarer than Paradiso posters) & as a consequence surviving examples are rare. Poster unfolded & in excellent condition.
