Third World War Underground Poster 1971

Fascinating Third World War promo poster (20"x 30") consisting of an excoriating "Melody Maker" review by Roy Hollingworth dated 29th May 1971.

Third World War were an acquired taste, grungy, loud, uncomprimising & unorthodox in equal measure & regulars on the underground circuit. It appears as if this very negative review was adopted as a "badge of honour" by the band's manager (echoes of Malcolm MacLaren's later approach with The Sex Pistols?) who had a small number of these posters printed.

We currently have several other items of original Third World War memorabilia listed on the website, all having been sourced from the band's manager back in the 1990's.

Poster rolled with a 1" conservation tape repair to bottom edge.
