John Lennon Kitchener Psych Poster

An original "I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet" John Lennon Poster (19"x 30") c' 1969. "I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet" was one of THE stores in the Swinging 60's Carnaby Street, specialising in the kind of vintage military uniforms that became popular with the "In " crowd. Among fans of the shop were the likes of Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton & Jimi Hendrix. Peter Blake, the artist behind the concept Sleeve design for The Beatles "Sgt Pepper" LP, claimed inspiration from the boutiques shop front. This Poster carries appropriate "I Was ...." text to the bottom rim & would have been sold from the shop at the time. The Poster is folded but otherwise is in EX condition.
