Help Beatles UK Quad Cinema Poster
An original UK Quad Cinema Poster (30"x 40") for The Beatles 2nd outing on the Big Screen. The Photographic composition is by Robert Freeman. Freeman was effectively The Beatles Photographer of choice between 1963-66, being responsible not only for the Photos for the "Help" & "Hard Day's Night" Film Posters but also being responsible for the LP designs of both these & the "With The Beatles", "Beatles For Sale" & "Rubber Soul" LP's too. Freeman's idea for the "Help" composition was for The Beatles to spell out the word "Help" in semaphore but the shot used was finally improvised. When comparing the LP cover with the Quad Poster, only George remains in the same position, the other Beatles being "re-arranged" for artistic purposes. With Beatles Concert Posters now commanding sums of £5,000-£15,000, original Beatles Film Posters, such as this, represent excellent value. Please note, that this is a full-sized Quad at 30"x 40" & not one of the 1970's re-prints which are slightly under-sized. The Poster has faint age discolouration to the white background but there are no serious defects & the Poster has been professionally cleaned, de-acidified & Linen-Backed ready for immediate framing.
