The Jam In The City LP Gig Poster 1977

Very rare original Poster (20"x 30") for The Jam's debut LP "In The City" released in May 1977. The Jam's distinctive hi-energy style made an immediate impact. The stark b/w Poster design clearly nods to the prevailing ethic of Punk Rock but the sharp-suited attire identified The Jam as a Band with more than a passing interest in Mod culture too. There is a variant of this Poster which is solely an LP Promo. This is also rare but the Poster presented here was designed not only to promote the LP (& accompanying single) but also a Jam Gig, the "Appearing at..." left blank for Gig details to be annotated. This makes this Poster even more desirable as early Jam Gig Posters are extremely difficult to find. the Poster has a few minor scuffs etc but it remains in EX folded condition.
