Bowie Just A Gigolo Film Poster 1978

UK Quad unfolded cinema poster (30"x 40") for the David Bowie-Marlene Dietrich film "Just A Gigolo" (1978) with poster illustration by Tom Chantrell.

The film was a post-WWI drama set in Berlin & directed by David Hemmings. The eclectic cast included Bowie, Dietrich, Kim Novak & Curt Jurgens, revolving in a heady brew of a brothel & street fighting Fascists & Communists! Chantrell's Quad artwork pitches Bowie at the centre surrounded by a bevy of characters radiating a fitting sense of louche decadence, this all set against a black background. A poster that packs impact (& like many other posters is probably the best thing about the film itself!). Poster in scarce unfolded condition. Being a poster with a dark background this is important as when folded the foldlines on this poster are particularly obvious. Apart from being unfolded, the poster looks un-used. There is a small crease to the lower left corner area & small mark to lower right corner area but otherwise the poster is in excellent condition.
