Edgar Broughton Thames Poly Poster 1975

Striking poster design (20"x 29") for the Edgar Broughton Band gig at Thames Polytechnic, Woolwich, on 17th Jan 1975.

Poster printed with unusual gold metallic ink to the lower portion, so an expensive production given that the print run would have been small. The Edgar Broughton Band (1968-76) were a heavy blues-rock band who were active in the underground scene, like Hawkwind. The poster reflects the edgy confrontational style of the band, as although the times were less PC then, this brazen design would have caught people's attention. An interesting 1970's rock concert poster.

Poster unfolded with minor creasing only & a poster we've never seen before (this came from an ex-Edgar Broughton roadie).
