George Harrison Shepard Fairey Poster 2014

Rare Shepard Fairey "George Harrison" silkscreen poster (24"x 36") dating from 2014 & numbered "1/50".

Shephard Fairey created this design for a limited edition run of posters in conjunction with the release of the box set "George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75". A red & a silver version of the poster were released, both of 400 only & all sold out on release. These posters were all signed & hand-numbered by the artist & the posters measured 18"x 24". A smaller number of Artist's Proofs of these were also sold, these also being 18"x 24". The poster offered here, however, is part of a much more limited print run of just 50 & has been printed in the larger size of 24"x 36". This poster is significantly rarer than the already highly sought after 18"x 24" posters. Shepard Fairey is a highly collectable modern artist. Provenance: This poster was acquired in 2017 from the British documentary maker Alan G Parker (Parker known for his Punk related films & the Beatles documentary "It Was Fifty Years Ago Today! The Beatles: Sgt. Pepper & Beyond"). The poster comes in its original triangular tube (there is a bar code sticker still in situ with the text "Shepard"). Poster in unfolded excellent condition. A fab piece of George Harrison memorabilia, a rare Fairey poster & one that has that extra appeal being numbered "1/50" too! This poster will NOT be discounted.
