Georgie Fame Locarno Gig Poster 1965
Original Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames concert poster (20"x 30") for a gig at the Swindon Locarno 4th March 1965.An interesting poster design with the colourful rim motif that characterised posters from this venue.
As a jazz-Blues musician, Fame provided a bridge between the Jazz orientated scene of the 1950's & the emergent RnB sound of the early 60's. His musicianship was widely respected & he was a stalwart of the
Flamingo Club in London. Fame was supported by British Beat group
Tony Rivers & The Castaways (it is Londoner Rivers voice on the
West Ham United FC 1975 release of "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles"). Rivers later formed the 60's pop group
Harmony Grass.Poster unfolded &
