Stiffs Tour Photo Contact Sheet 1977

36 b/w images on a photo contact sheet (8"x 10") from the Lyceum gig, 28th Oct 1977, from the "Live Stiffs" Tour, most show Ian Dury & The Blockheads (some with Elvis Costello & The Attractions) performing live.

The "Stiffs Live" package tour, 3rd Oct-5th Nov 1977, was designed to showcase Stiff Records roster of talent & included Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Elvis Costello & the Attractions, Wreckless Eric, Nick Lowe & Larry Wallis. The Lyceum gig was recorded & a number of these tracks appear on the LP "Live Stiffs" which was released in early 1978. Bands on the Tour rotated the headlining spot & the 24-date package was hugely influential in bringing Punk to the attention of the masses & creating a media frenzy. To the reverse of the contact sheet is the name & address of Paul Slattery (believed to be the photographer).
