Jack Bruce Lancaster Uni Gig Poster 1977

Original Jack Bruce Band gig poster (20"x 30") at Lancaster University, 8th March 1977.

Lancaster Uni provided a thriving vibrant 1970's music venue, well celebrated by the book "When Rock Went To College" https://booksplea.se/when-rock-went-to-college-1969-1985-legends-live-at-lancaster-university-by-barry-lucas-9781910837498/?setCurrencyId=1 which is highly recommended. Integral to the Lancaster music scene were the idiosyncratic gig posters designed by John Angus, of which this is one. These posters have become much sought after & are rarely available in the market.

Jack Bruce was a stalwart of the British music scene in the 1960's-70's. Best remembered as a founder member of Cream, Bruce had earlier graced the ranks of Blues Incorporated, The Graham Bond Organisation, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers & Manfred Mann. Post Cream he was one of the trio West, Bruce & Laing. The support band The Hunters were a Stoke based rock group.
