IOW Festival Poster Hendrix Who Doors 1970

Original Isle Of Wight 1970 Festival poster (19 3/4"x 30").

The Festival included a stellar line-up including Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors, Free, Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues etc. Apart from an impromtu jam at Ronnie Scott's this was to be Hendrix's final concert in the UK before his death on 18th Sept 1970. Poster art by David Roe.

Two posters were printed with this design for the Festival, this being the second print which included Miles Davis in the line-up on Sat 29th Aug. Posters for the IOW Festival 1970 have been heavily repo'd & regularly surface at auction & on popular online auction sites but the poster offered here is guaranteed to be original being appropriately aged & with the wear & tear commensurate with a used poster 50+ years old. Poster unfolded with pin/tack holes to corners, general light creasing, edge nicks (longest 3/4") & the genuine patina of age. An authentic 1970 poster featuring three of the greatest rock acts of all time: Jimi Hendrix, The Who & The Doors.
