Joe Cocker Tour Documentation etc 1970-71

A fascinating collection of documentation relating to the career of Joe Cocker 1970-71.

Altogether there are approx 30 documents, most to/from Dee Anthony, Joe Cocker's manager with others involving the likes of Denny Cordell (Cocker's producer), Leon Russell, Chris Blackwell (Island Records) etc. The documents are frequently legal in nature with music industry execs fighting for control of Cocker's career. There is also correspondence about gig arrangements & a fantastic account of out-of-control tour expenses. Included also is a UK film premiere invitation to the "Joe Cocker Mad Dogs & Englishmen" & an original American fan letter to Joe.

This documentation gives a great insight into the "industry" behind musical performers in the early 70's & the dis-connect between the "creative" & "financial" aspects especially of touring. The official documents/correspondence are all original photo-stats made at the time 1970-71. The fan letter & premiere invite are originals.
