Oh Calcutta Lennon Prog Tickets Flyer 1973

A programme, flyer & two tickets for the avant-garde erotic revue "Oh Calcutta!", these for the Royalty Theatre, London, 30th Aug 1973.

Masterminded by theatre critic Ken Tynan, the revue consiststed of various sketches, musical numbers & lots of male/female nudity, thus beccoming a controversial sensation. John Lennon was one of the contributors & he is credited in the programme. Oh Calcutta! ran for 10 years 1970-80, delivering 3,900 performances.

The flyer's booking slip is almost detached with some sutface paper loss to reverse where once held in a scrapbook but nonetheless this is a fascinating little collection of counter-culture/Lennon memorabilia.
