Manfred Mann Irma Thomas Gig Poster 1965

Though not specifically a Ricky Tick club venue, this is nonetheless a gig poster (20"x 30") for a Ricky Tick promotion, this being a University of Kent event starring Manfred Mann & Irma Thomas, 25th March 1966. The Ricky Tick circuit was instrumental, not only in fostering the cream of British R&B talent (like Manfred Mann, The Stones, Graham Bond etc) but also in providing a showcase for original American blues artists like Irma Thomas & John Lee Hooker. As such, this poster is a great example of the type & range of artists that the RT supported. Poster has a tape repair to rim to the reverse.
