Friars Renaissance Yardbirds Flyer 1969

This double-sided "Keith Relf's Renaissance" gig flyer, represents an extremely early piece of Aylesbury Friars memorabilia. Dating from 25th Aug 1969, this was only the 13th gig Friars promoted, the club starting on 2nd June 1969. The flyer was yet to morph into the more recognisable format of a gig advert on one side & text to the reverse, here combining text with a whimsical illustration on alternate sides.

After leaving The Yardbirds, Relph formed Renaissance with fellow ex-Yardbirder, Jim McCarty.

Flyer has a few nicks to lower edge.
