Sutherland Sayer Nottingham Uni Poster 1973

Classy concert poster (21"x 31") design for the Nottingham University Graduation Ball, 6th July 1973.

Headlined by Sutherland Brothers & Quiver, the line-up included the quirky Temeperance Seven, plus Folk-Rock from Canton Trig & local artist, Dave Turner. Interestingly one of the biggest pop stars of the 1970's, Leo Sayer, is just fourth on the bill & here billed as "The Leo Sayer Band" ie, not properly solo! Between 1973 & 1977 Leo Sayer amassed six Top Ten singles hits including a #1 & four Top 10 albums. However, this Nottingham gig was several months before Sayer achieved his "breakthrough", "The Show Must Go On" single hitting #2 in Dec '73.

The poster is in excellent condition, printed on a brown card stock. The print run for these would have been limited as the Uni had a "captive" audience! A really attractive poster.
