Help Beatles Quad Cinema poster 1965

A linen-backed UK Quad cinema poster (30"x 40") for The Beatles second film "Help!" (1965). Like its predecessor "A Hard Day's Night" (1964), "Help!" promoted The Beatles popularity through a mix of zany humour, exotic locations & a brilliant Beatles soundtrack. Similarly the poster design is based on that for the LP soundtrack cover. Photographer Robert Freeman wanted to pose The Beatles semaphore style spelling "HELP" but for artistic reasons used a more random arrangement!

This poster is in very good condition. It has been professionally cleaned, restored & linen-backed. Restoration to pin-holes to corners & a few minor edge tears. There is some very slight dis-colouration to areas of the white background but this is really minor. The poster displays to excellent effect & is ready for immediate framing.
