Brixton Festival Damned Madness Poster 1983

Scarce Festival poster (16 1/2"x 23 1/2") for the Youth CND "Festival For Peace", a protest march culminating in a gig at Brixton, 7th May 1983.

Included on the bill were The Damned, Madness, The Style Council Hazel O'Connor & Clint Eastwood & General Saint. For fans of Paul Weller & The Jam this was an important gig as this was one of the earliest live performances by the newly formed Style Council & their first ever outing in London.

Although this was a Festival For Peace, many in the 20,000 march arrived too late to see their favoured artists & some Punks took umbrage & began pelting the other acts with mud from the park. Classic!

Poster unfolded & in excellent condition.
