Performance Mick Jagger Cinema Poster

Scarce re-release UK Quad cinema poster (30"x 40") for "Performance" (1970) with Vic Fair illustration. NB. this is one of very few re-release posters that are actually worth more than the original first releases (comparison with the '70 original explains why) & dates c' 1979.

A poster loaded with cult status, the film written & directed by doyen of "Swinging 60's" London, Donald Cammel, photographed by up & coming Nic Roeg & starring Rolling Stone Mick Jagger. The confusion of gender, reality & fantasy is hinted at by the poster design. Whilst filming, Jagger embarked on an affair with Keith Richards's then girlfriend, occultist, Anita Pallenberg, illicit footage of their exertions being shown at the Amsterdam sex festival.

Poster folded with minor corner damage, light creasing & slight "foxing" to the white background. Poster presents to very good effect & could be further enhanced with backing & minimal restoration.
