Sex Pistols God Save The Queen Flyer 1977

An original Sex Pistols "God Save The Queen" flyer (5 7/8"x 8 1/2" - 15cm x 21.5cm) with iconic Jamie Reid graphics with gummed "splodges" to upper & lower portions of the reverse, dating c' May 1977.

Several variants of this flyer are documented, this being the version of the Queen with lyrics to "God Save The Queen" on the outer right rim. This particular flyer came in a slightly smaller format (typically 4 1/4"x 5 1/2") which is more common, though the example here is from the lower print run larger format version at 5 7/8"x 8 1/2". A similarly sized example of this flyer is shown in the book "Oh So Pretty: Punk In Print 1976-80".

This item was acquired in a collection of mostly counter-culture memorabilia 1968-78. The original owner lived in London during the 1970's & collected music & counter-culture material then. The obvious anti-establishment ethos of the Pistols must have appealed!

For an idea of relative value, Bonham's sold a similarly sized flyer in April 2022 EST £600-800 & at the time of listing two other similarly sized flyers were available at £350-£375.

NB. A supplementary P&P charge will apply to overseas buyers.
