Skatalites Ska Publicity Photo Flyer 1979

Two scarce pieces of Skatelites (sic) memorabilia: an original Island Records publicity flyer (7 1/2"x 8") & a large original b/w publicity photo (7 1/2"x 9 3/4").

The Skatalites were an important & infuential Jamaican Ska band, first active 1963-65. With the emergence of the 2-Tone label & British Ska in the late 70's-early 80's the band reformed in the UK. These items are believed to date from this slightly later re-incarnation. The publicity photo seems to have been taken on the entrance of a run-down Notting Hill/Holland Park townhouse, now of course very trendy & worth millions.

Both items in excellent condition.
