Aubrey Beardsley Black Cape Poster 1973

An original Scandecor Poster (27"x 39") of "The Black Cape" by the Victorian artist Aubrey Beardsley (originally created to illustrate Oscar Wilde's "Salome"). The Swedish company Scandecor was formed in 1967 & grew to become one of the world's largest Poster businesses. They specialised in providing Posters to students & the youth of the day. Beardsley's fantasy figures proved popular in the 70's & this Poster was printed in 1973. There is some creasing/minor nicks to the upper left edge, a couple of small repairs to the reverse & a very slight stain to the upper mid section (the flash exaggerates this on the image here) but overall the Poster is still in very nice condition, particularly being almost 40 years old !
