Does France Deserve Me Protest Poster
Challenging & rare in equal measure, this French protest poster (23 1/2"x 33 1/2" is entitled "Does France Deserve Me?".
Created in 1993, this was a graphic response to the restrictive Pasqua Laws (1986-93) which tightened immigration & nationality Laws in France. By depicting a naked baby the designers clearly sought to highlight the innocence of the child facing the perceived "brutality" of the state (we show only a portion of the poster). This poster is rarely seen in the market but is an excellent example of the "Protest Poster" with interest to Historians & counter-culture collectors alike. An example of this poster is held in the collection of the Parisian cultural bastion, the Pompidou Centre (https://www.centrepompidou.fr/fr/ressources/oeuvre/cgEpBeR).
Poster unfolded with a few light surface marks (C).
