Deep Purple Croydon Gig Flyer 1970

Large original concert flyer (8 1/2"x 12 1/4") for the Fairfield Hall, Croydon, showing gigs for Nov 1970 including in the centre Deep Purple on 22nd Nov 1970.

This gig came at the point of commercial breakthrough for Deep Purple. In June their LP "Deep Purple In Rock" peaked at #4 in the charts & the single "Black Night" reached #2 in August (their first single hit). Such was the momentum behind the band that they were able to command a fee of £676 0s 6d for this gig. A fine early piece of Deep Purple memorabilia that would frame to excellent effect.
