Kempton Festival Deep Purple T-Rex Tull Flyer 68
Original double-sided flyer (5 1/2"x 8 1/4") for the 8th National Jazz Blues Festival at Sunbury, Kempton Park, 9th-11th Aug 1968.
This Festival was noteworthy for several things: it witnessed a very early gig by Deep Purple (they were bottom of the bill on the Saturday & were paid £19 for their performance), ditto early performances by Jethro Tull & Tyrannosaurus Rex, a near riot after Jerry Lee Lewis's performance on the opening night & a partial stage collapse during The Crazy World of Arthur Brown's performance (74 fans hurt!). The full line-up to the reverse also includes the likes of The Nice, Jeff Beck & Traffic.
Flyer with light creasing & slight paper loss to upper rim. A great early piece of Deep Purple, T-Rex & Jethro Tull memorabilia.
