Windsor Watchfield Clash Stranglers Flyer 1975

Double-sided Festival flyer (5"x7") for the 1975 Windsor Free Festival 23rd-24th Aug 1975.

This classic counter-culture event was re-located to Watchfield (nr. Swindon) following objections & protests from locals. Although an array of underground bands like Hawkwind played the Festival, the event also had a fascinating connection with the earliest days of Punk as Joe Strummer's 101 er's played three sets on the 24th Aug & The Stranglers also played on the same date (this being Dave Greenfield's first gig on keyboards).

This flyer thus represents an extremely early piece of British Punk memorabilia (in typical fashion for these kind of events, NONE of the bands who performed are listed).

The flyer remains in excellent condition.
