Lindsay Kemp Bush Bowie Roundhouse Poster

Original Lindsay Kemp "Mr Punch's Pantomime" poster (20"x 30") for a performance at the Roundhouse, 18th Dec 1976, with poster design by Silvia Jansons.

This is an interesting & important poster: an example is in the collection of the V&A Museum. Choreographer, dancer & mime artist Lindsay Kemp was a key figure in the British cultural scene 1960's-70's. He was famously a mentor to a young David Bowie, teaching him mime & clearly influencing Bowie's sense of the theatrical (the staging of Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" Tour 1972-73 was influenced by Kemp). Kemp also appeared in the Bowie video for "John, I'm Only Dancing" (1972). Later Kate Bush became a Kemp acolyte, taking dance lessons from him (she actually worked in the wardrobe department for this Kemp "Panto" production!).

An interesting retro poster design, a great memento from Lindsay Kemp's multifaceted career & a poster with interesting Bowie/Kate Bush connotations too.

Poster unfolded with some minor creasing but overall in excellent condition.
