Born To Boogie Bolan Cinema Poster 1972

UK Quad cinema poster (30"x 4)") for the Marc Bolan T-Rex film "Born To Boogie" (1972).

An "of it's time" documentary about Marc Bolan & T-Rex including various segments of live concert action for an Empire Pool Wembley gig. In some ways this film marked the changing of the guard in the British music scene: the passing of The Beatles to newer music superstars like Bolan. "Bolanmania" was the first example of something that came close to replicating the phenomenon of "Beatlemania" a decade before. The presence of Elton John in the film also harked of the new breed of pop star though it should be noted that not only was this film directed & co-starred ex-Beatle Ringo Starr but was produced by the Beatles company "Apple Films" too.

The vaguely Pop-Art poster design was by Kosh (John) who was a Creative Director at Apple. Kosh became well-known in the field of LP cover design working with the likes of artists such as Bob Dylan, The Eagles, ELO, T-Rex, The Moody Blues etc.

Poster folded (as issued) & in excellent condition totally un-restored condition. This is a really hard poster to find & surprisingly is scarcer than The Beatles cinema Quads themselves.
