The Who Original Tommy Film Script 1974

A fine piece of British cinema & rock music history, an original 66-page script for The Who's rock-opera film "Tommy" (1975), dated 8th April 1974.

This script belonged to Brian Doyle a publicist who worked on the film & has been signed inside the front cover by Doyle. Although directed by the maverick Ken Russell, the film was both a commercial hit & a critical success (awarded two Oscar nominations). The cast contained an eclectic mix of rock stars (The Who, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner etc) & acting talent such as Oliver Reed, Ann-Margaret, Jack Nicholson, Robert Powell etc).

Front cover slightly dis-coloured but contents in excellent order. A fine piece of Who memorabilia on the 50th year anniversary of the film release too!
