Sham 69 Groovies Cambridge Gig Poster

Original silkscreen concert poster (20"x 30") for Sham 69 to play the Cambridge Corn Exchange, 26th May 1968.

A treat for fans of Punk from both "Town & Gown". Sham 69 were just breaking through at this point: their debut LP "Tell Us The Truth" had peaked at #25 back in March '78 & they had their first Top 20 single with "Angels With Dirty Faces", which peaked at #19 two weeks prior to this Cambridge gig.

Also on the bill were the Flamin' Groovies. This proto-punk US band became resident in the UK in the early 70's & were highly influential on the developing UK Punk scene (they supported The Ramones at their debut UK gig in July 1976). Radio Birdman were an Aussie Punk band who also toured with fellow Sire band The Ramones.

Poster with minor creasing & overall in excellent condition.
