The Animals Locarno Concert Poster 1965

Rare original gig poster (20"x 30") for The Animals at The Locarno, Swindon 25th March 1965.

The poster references the latest Animals hit single "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" which went to #3 the preceding month & attendees at this gig would probably have been treated to a rendition of The Animals latest single, "Bring It On Home To Me", which peaked at #7 on 8th April '65.

Interesting to see Paul Dean's backing band incorrectly referred to as "The Sole Savages" rather than The Soul Savages. Such mis-understandings between printers & bookers were common in the 60's-70's, Led Zeppelin appearing sometimes as "Lead Zeppelin" & Thin Lizzy as "Thin Lizzie".

Poster with a 4" conservation tear repair to upper left corner but otherwise in excellent condition.
