The Beatles Llandudno Concert Flyer 1963

An original Beatles concert flyer (5 3/4"x 10 1/4") for the Beatles one week residency at the Odeon Llandudno, 12th-17th August 1963.

By this stage in their career, The Beatles had headline status. Such was their appeal that they were now able to stage "residencies" where suitable (& had done so during the previous month in both Margate & Weston-super-Mare). It is likely that fans were treated to a rendition of The Beatles forthcoming single "She Loves You" at these concerts as this was released on 23rd Aug & provided The Beatles with their second UK #1 on 29th Aug.

The flyer has been folded & there is a tiny hole to the lower rim. However, the booking form remains in situ & overall the flyer remains in good condition the design incorporating a good photograph of the four boys faces. The provenance for this piece is that it was acquired directly from Sotheby's as Lot #403 on 16th Sept 1998 (original Sotheby's stickers remain on the plastic sleeve).
