Who Action Rod Stewart Marquee Flyer 1965

The Who Marquee Club double-sided flyer (8 1/2"x 11") for Dec 1965.

This is a wonderful "slice of the times" redolent with British Mod significance. The Who played their 28th gig at the Marquee on 21st Dec 1965 (they played 3 more gigs there in '68). Having built a heady reputation during the preceding two years in Acton, the Ricky-Tick circuit & the Marquee etc, The Who were seen as Mod trailblazers. Right at this time their debut LP "My Generation" peaked at #5 in the UK charts.

Like-minded groups plying their trade at the Marquee this month included The Action, The In Crowd, Graham Bond & Steampacket (including Rod Stewart).

Flyer folded but overall in excellent condition. A fabulous piece of mid-60's British Mod/Beat memorabilia.
