Quadrophenia Who Quad Cinema Poster 1979

UK Quad cinema poster (30"x 40") for The Who inspired "Quadrophenia" (1979).

A classic music related poster for this film about the 1960's Mod scene. The portrait of the Mods includes Sting, Leslie Ash and Phil Daniels. The "line-up" poster design is something that has been copied frequently: "The Usual Suspects" (1996), "This Is England" (2006) etc. This is the original release poster and not the 1997 re-release (this has added text to the bottom rim) which sometimes gets trimmed and offered as "original". A classic piece of British cinema poster design.

Poster has three light vertical folds only & has not been machine-folded or restored with linen-backing. The poster has a few minor creases, conservation tape repair to upper right rim nicks (1/8") etc & as shown, the poster displays to excellent effect. A scarce example that has escaped both normal folding & restoration & remains in 100% original condition.
