Thin Lizzy Slade Early Chester Gig Flyer 1971

Concert flyer (7"x 9") for Quaintways club, Chester, Sept 1971, including gigs by the likes of Thin Lizzy, Slade, Edgar Broughton, IF & Gentle Giant (flyer autographed by Gentle Giant drummer Martin Smith to the reverse).

Punters were spoilt 13th-20th Sept '71 as they got to witness a very early UK performance by Thin Lizzy. Lizzy first toured the UK Mar-July '71 & then again Aug-Nov '71 but were not to achieve their commercial breakthrough till 1973. Following Lizzy on the 20th Sept '71 were Slade who were already commencing their pitch for stardom, having first charted with "Get Down and Get With It" a couple of months previously.
