Martin Sharp Legalise Cannabis Poster 1967

Original Martin Sharp poster for "The Putting Together of Heads" - "Legalise Cannabis" poster (20"x 30") printed to promote the Legalise Pot Rally in Hyde Park, 16th July 1967.

We believe this poster is a rare example from the first print run of 600 posters (printed on gold metallic paper). Apparently most of these posters were never flyposted (financial skulduggery) & dumped with just a few being sold privately. This experience lead to the formation of the Big O Poster company when it was realised that such posters could be sold commercially. The poster we are selling lacks the Big O publishing text on the bottom rim that appears on the later authorised commercial print run. NB. We acquired this poster in the 1990's from Christie's Lot #223, 4th Sept 1997.

Poster with a few tiny edge nicks & a single 1/2" tear to top right corner. Overall in very good condition.
