Edgar Broughton Robert Crumb Gig Poster 1971

Striking concert poster (20"x 30") for Edgar Broughton to play a UCC Events gig on 9th Oct 1971.

The poster uses the famous Robert Crumb "Keep on Truckin'" cartoon strip which Crumb frst published in issue #1 "Zap Comix" (1968). This cartoon strip became emblematic of the hippie counter-culture era & was much reproduced, as here, though we've never seen another gig poster like this. The support band at this gig was the Country-Rock outfit Formerly Fat Harry.

Poster unfolded, rolled & in excellent condition. A fantastic Edgar Broughton poster & a really unusual item of underground memorabilia.
