An original first edition harback book of Oh! Calcutta! published in 1969 in the US.

Oh! Calcutta! was a revolutionary Broadway (& later West End) show comprised of various irreverant sketches, mostly performed by the cast in the nude. The book presents the script for the show with lots of b/w images, so not for the easily offended. The show was concerived by Kenneth Tynan & among the credited contributors was Beatle John Lennon, as ever keen to support the counter-culture movement & provoke the establishment.

Book with a couple of chips to lower rim of front cover dust-jacket but contents clean & in excellent order. A lovely piece of John Lennon/counter-culture memorabilia.
