Beatles Hard Days Night Quad Poster 1964

UK Quad linen-backed cinema poster (30"x 40") for the Beatles film "A Hard Day's Night" (1964).

One of the best "A Hard Day's Night" (1964) Quad cinema posters we have seen. "A Hard Day's Night" was the first foray by The Beatles onto the big screen. Their blend of madcap humour and infectious songs proved a big hit. In a shrewd marketing move, the poster design replicated that of the associated soundtrack LP (see attached for reference) the photographic montage being composed by Robert Freeman who was reponsible for all The Beatles LP covers 1963-65 (in a nice whimsical touch the contact sheet design includes a single non-Beatle head shot - that of Wilfrid Brambell). Following the first wave of "Beatlemania", the move into film provided The Beatles with another medium by which their global popularity could be enhanced even further.

Poster originally folded as issued but subsequently linen-backed. The poster was in excellent condition prior to backing & required almost no restoration (a couple of minute crossfold/foldline touch-ins only!). An important piece of Beatles memorabilia & a poster that is in excellent condition too.
